RWTH Aachen University (Rhine-Westphalian University of Technology), inaugurated first on 10 October 1870, is the largest university of technology in Germany and one of the most renowned technical universities in Europe. Our courses are characterised by an innovative and interdisciplinary approach and a close cooperation with the industry. The institutes are in charge of the scientific lead and provide the lecturers. In addition we recruit professionals from partner companies and other experts to offer you a substantiated alliance between scientific knowledge and practice-related experience.

In Germany’s most western city, the borders between Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands, are only a few kilometres away from the city centre. While following an intensive academic program offered by the university’s institutes, participants will experience German culture hands-on through an extensive leisure time program. The International Office’s and the RWTH Academy's experienced staff will take care of the participants during the summer school. Additional student tutors will guarantee the participants’ interaction with German students and help them with questions during their stay. International students currently studying at RWTH Aachen University will also be included in the cultural programme.
